Chanjo Plus is an African mobile vaccination service founded by Collince in 2015. As a vaccination volunteer with diverse experiences on the importance of immunization, he launched a vaccination management strategy. The sole purpose of this management strategy is to reach out to the African child of ages 0 – 5. The entire team keeps track of immunization by sending reminder alerts to registered parents with the aid of real-time data. Keeping track is made easier with social media including Twitter, Facebook as well as LinkedIn accounts of registered parents.
Essentially, the whole concept follows a human-centered design to ensure that products follow a framework that meets the exact need of each child. The intense effort Collince puts in this is recognized by the Weserwelle Foundation, the Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship Programme and the Social Entrepreneurship Forum-Sweden. This innovation is a welcome development in Africa’s health sector and will definitely open doors for international partnerships with Health organizations.
