There has been a huge demand for hibiscus from America, Asia and Europe.

In the meantime, the country has exported 1,983 containers of hibiscus to Mexico generating 35 million to Mexico in 2017.
Dr. Vincent Isegbe the Coordination Director of the Nigerian agricultural Quarantine Service narrated that this is a goldmine that farmers and investors are yet to tap into.
The countries importing it are using it as an organic colouring agent for wines and drinks. The pharmaceuticals also use it because it is organic and safe. It also processed into a red drink as done in Nigeria and other African countries.
