The Artisan industry in Africa is creative and rich with cultural influences from various ethnic groups across the continent. These crafts remain quite treasured and we have previously listed some global e-commerce websites that offer opportunities to African countries to list their crafts previous.

On the 22nd of August, eBay announced a partnership with Mall for Africa enabling Africans in Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, and Burundi sell their products online into the US.

 

This is big news for Africa enabling more global reach to the treasured handmade crafts the continent is synonymous with. The partnership between eBay and Mall for Africa is not new, in 2016, an APP was launched to enable Africans buy eBay products.

While this opportunity is not available to all African countries, it certainly brings some good news to African businesses that the world wants its premium rarefied crafts and arts.
