Lumu Community Based Organization – Nasana is a charity organization set up in 2018 by Lumu Samuel and Denis Kato to help in educating children in the inferior parts of Wakiso and Nansana. Before the setup, they had worked with other charity organizations and excelled, but in a bid to give back to their community, they started LCBON.
LCBON is still in its startup phase with hopes to build a childcare and education centre in 2020. However, this has not stopped the organization from aiding disadvantaged children in communities with food and essentials.
The organization is, however, faced with the challenge of feeding 140 children a day, and even get requests from adults, but only focus on the children. There is also a need for sponsors, partners and donations to achieve the goal of taking children out of the slums and out of poverty-stricken lifestyle so they can become independent and self-sufficient adults in future. Interested sponsors can contact them on their Twitter and LinkedIn.
This is great news for the inferior parts of Nansana and Wakiso as LCBON is passionately focused on catering for its children.
