Rent-To-Own Africa (RTO) is a social enterprise which provides top-notch quality productive assets to small scale entrepreneurs in rural Zambia. It debuted in 2010, and since then, it has aided the catalysis of business growth opportunities for hundreds of aspiring Zambian entrepreneurs. It aims to continue tapping into Zambia’s entrepreneurial capacity by providing the necessary facilities, training, equipment, and financing that are inaccessible in rural areas.
RTO is a social business seeking to provide high-impact assets – hammer mills, refrigerators, and irrigation pumps to entrepreneurs in rural Zambia in order to improve prosperity for clients in disadvantaged and underdeveloped communities without access to these assets.
Currently, RTO has a 40-member full-time staff, and it has provided micro assets worth over USD 2.5 million to over 1,200 clients that benefit yearly. The story of RTO and its vision for rural Zambian entrepreneurs are publicized on its Facebook and Twitter pages.
RTO enables business entrepreneurs in rural Zambia to actualize their business potentials.
