BantuVision Botswana is behind the development of Free Range Game. Designed as a 3D endless runner game, inspired by the beautiful African landscape and common African experiences.
The story behind the game is that of a successful Tswana Dad who’s brought his family back to his mother’s village for the Christmas holiday and the grandmother is so happy she offers the family her fattest chicken, Ledi to eat. But of course, they must catch Ledi first and Ledi is not going down without a fight! What ensues is a game of 7 levels, each of increasing difficulty, of you playing as Ledi running away from members of the family and even the village chief!
The game is passionately inspired by experience of the BantuVision team, including the founders, Dr Robert Maweni, and Mr Richmond Mouti, where much of the time was spent playing games and watching cartoons while growing up in Kang (the Kalahari desert).
