Agropreneur is a social enterprise firm that aims to improve agricultural business in Uganda by adopting climate smart methods and making use of improved technologies and finance. The company build farmers’ capacity to adapt to the impacts of climate change and mitigate greenhouse emissions.
They are using an integrated approach to managing landscapes, livestock, forests and fisheries that address the interlinked challenges of food security and climate change.
Some of the regular trainings they offer to local farmers in the country include climate smart agriculture training, climate smart and innovative finance, and climate resilient post-harvest and agribusiness. The company has trained over 15,000 farmers and has issued out loans to more than 570 beneficiaries.
